For a successful experience in uploading photos for Borrower Led Photo Report, we suggest the following steps are followed.
Best Practices: Setting up Borrower Portal account
- You will receive an email to set up your account.
- Click “Accept Invitation” in the email and create a password
- It may look like you already created a password, but one has not been created yet
- Make sure its a secure password
- Do not use common words or more than 4 numbers for a password
Your password must contain:- At least 8 characters
- At least 3 of the following:
- Lower case letters (a-z)
- Upper case letters (A-Z)
- Numbers (0-9)
- Special characters (e.g. !@#$%^&*)
- Next step is a 2 Factor Authentication piece.
- Best option is to use SMS text option, but you can also use Google Authenticator
- There is a “recovery code” on the next screen. Copy that code in case you need later
You should now be logged into the borrower portal!
Click on the Tasks button to see all tasks setup by your lender.
Best Practices: Uploading documents and photos
- If you are uploading documents, PDF format is the best option for uploading documents.
- If you are uploading photos, take a minute to update your phone settings before taking the pictures
- Make sure your location app is turned ON
- Make sure your camera app has the location setting turned ON
- Make sure your web browser app has the location setting turned ON
(Most current phones and phone providers have these settings turned automatically to OFF for standard privacy settings when uploading photos to social media) - Make sure your camera setting for resolution is NOT set up for the highest resolution. We recommend a slightly lower resolution so file size isn’t too large
- Click on the task for Property Images to see the subtasks/request for uploading certain photos of your property
- Instructions page will pop up to advise next steps
- Click ACCEPT when the question comes up if you will allow access to your camera and folders. If you click no, this will not work
- DO NOT UPLOAD MORE THAN 1 IMAGE TO EACH REQUEST
- If you upload more than 1 image to each request, the file size of the report becomes too large and won’t generate for the lender
- Click “Send to Lender” button and make sure the green geo tag shows up
- NOTE: If the lender rejects any of the photos, YOU NEED TO DELETE THE REJECTED PHOTO. Click on the red trash can icon below the picture that was rejected and click “Take Photo” to take another photo. Make sure to "Send to Lender" after taking the new picture.
